Celebrity Style: Katie Holmes Preps Designer Clothing Line For New York Fashion Week

Twice a year, lovers of authentic designer clothing and accessories are treated to the latest in couture style during New York Fashion Week. Today, Rodeo Drive Resale, premier seller of pre-owned luxury fashion, looks at Katie Holmes' fashion label, Holmes & Yang, and its sudden rise in popularity following her high-profile divorce from Tom Cruise.

Holmes & Yang, a women's designer fashion line, has seen its sales soar in recent weeks, according to a story by MTV UK. Even Holmes, who started the clothing line in 2008 alongside stylist and longtime friend Jeanne Yang, appears to have taken a renewed interest in the brand: Typically seen in her t-shirt and jean pairing, Holmes donned her brand's navy collared placket dress during a recent appearance on Project Runway.

According to reports, the 33-year-old star looks forward to having Holmes & Yang take part in New York Fashion Week, which returns to the Big Apple in September.

"Jeanne is known for her friendliness," an inside source told UK magazine Heat. "Jeanne has children too, and Katie is looking forward to her and Suri spending time with them."

Holmes is not the only recognizable name making this year's list of Fashion Week freshman: Also making its debut is the clothing line 466/64 Fashion, inspired by the life of political figure Nelson Mandela. The line, slated to hit U.S. department stores next spring, is being touted as the first global fashion brand to originate in South Africa.

Of course, many Fashion Week favorites are likely to return to the runway in September including popular labels Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and influential fashion house St. John Knits.

"We're a brand on the move," St. John Knits chief executive officer Glenn McMahon told WWD in a 2011 interview. The brand has been the subject of criticism over its dramatic shift in design; a shift, McMahon insists is designed to capture the attention of younger consumers. "We really believe that our future success will be in our ability to capture the daughters of our current customer."

As for Holmes, who is likely pleased with the sales surge of her high-end brand, style experts predict her luxury clothing line will be a definite show-stealer at the semiannual event...

"Every editor will be at the spring 2013 Holmes & Yang showing this September," David Zyla, an Emmy Award-winning stylist, told FOX411's Pop Tarts column. According to Zyla, her recent split from Cruise has amplified consumer interest in her brand. "Katie's divorce and the masterful manner in which she handled it is a shining light onto anything that she does at this moment."

High Efficiency Washers Make Big Impact in Appliance Industry

There have been many innovations over the years within the appliance industry. One of the most noticeable innovations is the birth of HE (High Efficiency) washing machine.    HE washers use less water, less electricity, and less detergent. The drums of these washers are high in capacity which means less time doing laundry which saves time for moms around the bay area to spend more quality time with their families. Another bonus for moms is the fabric care HE washers produce. The flat-sided drum that rolls on a horizontal axis gently tumbles clothes clean instead of vibrating and pulling clothes.

In an interview conducted with Elliott Jones, one of Airport Home Appliance's product specialists, it was noted that HE washers use approximately a third less water than a conventional washing machine. "With an older washing machine, you are going to use around 40-50 gallons of water per load. With the new high efficiency washers, you're going to be using only about 20 gallons per load. The consumer benefits greatly because with less water being used during each cycle, the HE washing machine won't require as much energy in comparison to an older style washing machine."

Any consumer reading this is probably wondering the big question when it comes to high efficiency versus non-high efficien fashion coats online cy; what is the difference in cost? According to numerous appliance specialists at Airport Home Appliance, the costs are very similar. Although a HE washer or laundry pair may cost more money out of pocket, there are so many rebates to get some of that hard earned money back into the consumer's pocket. Unfortunately there are practically no rebates when it comes to the older and less efficient washing machines because these appliances are using far too much energy and water in comparison to HE washers. With that said, a consumer will pay virtually the same price after rebates when purchasing a high efficiency washer as opposed to a non high efficiency.

HE washers require special HE detergent. HE detergent is specially formulated to create a low amount of suds, which is the perfect match for a high efficiency washer.    This type of detergent can be found in any grocery store. Simply look for the "HE" logo on detergent bottles. Airport Home Appliance, a locally owned and women operated appliance store in the Bay Area also carries Excelsior detergent. This type of HE detergent equals to 36 cents per load because of the high concentrated solution.

If regular detergents were used in a HE washer the occurrence of too many suds could confuse the machine during washing cycles causing delays and improperly rinsing clothes leaving left over detergent residue. If regular detergent is used in an HE machine the same effect of using liquid dish soap in a dishwasher would occur.

HE washers are the top choice in regards to new washer purchases. Airport Home Appliance has the largest selection of appliance brands including hundreds of laundry models, most of which are HE models. Choosing to purchase an HE washer will save money upon purchase and during the life of the machine through less water, energy and longer fabric life. Don't forget to pair these washers with the proper HE detergent and an energy saving dryer.

Joy in a Bottle

For the last several years I have had a fascination for essential oils. I don't know why, but I have. But one oil in particular has touched me more than the rest. It's called JOY. That's right, I like to call it, JOY IN A BOTTLE! It has the most exquisitely beautiful aroma and whenever I use it, I feel uplifted.

For a while now, it has been my intention to experience more joy in my life, hence my strong attraction to this oil called Joy, and I would have to say by what I have experienced just in this last week that this little oil has indeed been helping me to do just that.

Two experiences come to mind, both very different, yet profoundly joyful.

Here is my story.

I woke up early one day this week, after it had been snowing and freezing rain most of the night to an exquisite winter wonderland outside my window. I felt an overwhelming urge to rush out and experience it, much as a small child would want to run out and play in the freshly fallen snow or a little puppy would want to envelop himself in a white blanket and then shake himself off and do it all over, again and again. I couldn't really contain myself much longer so I did just that. I put on my coat and boots and mittens, not my kid-leather gloves, but my mittens, which seemed more appropriate to the moment and rushed outside.

I felt as though time had stopped just for me. I was alone in this magical place. Not a sound was to be heard, only my breath and my virgin footsteps in the pure white snow beneath my feet and the golden light of the awakening sun dancing on the icicles, glistening like diamonds. I felt intensely alive and overcome with joy.

At that moment I was reminded of when I was in Montreal and my mother died. It was in the late fall and I remember sitting in the park after having just left the funeral home and watching the leaves fall off the huge maple trees. It was such a beautiful sight to see but a part of me couldn't help wondering if the trees felt sad to see all their leaves falling away. Soon they would be completely bare and it would be like a death for them just as it had been for my mother. I thought how significant it was at the time, that my mother died in the fall just as the trees were letting go of life as well.

Yet today when I was out walking in the snow, in the stillness, I looked with new eyes at these trees standing proudly before me. Where once they had been completely bare, now they were each covered in white ice and I saw them in a way I was not able to before. Each tree was distinctive, unique, a masterpiece in itself, breathtakingly beautiful. They didn't feel as though they were dead any more, only different, and I thought that must be how my mother is now, not dead really, only different.

I stayed in this wonderland for over an hour taking pictures of each tree. And at one point I decided to stand under a tree and take a picture of the icicles from underneath thinking that might make an unique photograph. Just as I was about to snap the shot, nature took over and decided to have some fun with me. The tree branch shook and what seemed like a mountain of snow descended upon me and my camera. It was at that moment that I became aware that perhaps people were looking at me and wondering what this crazy lady with the red hair was doing standing under a tree filled with snow and icicles with a camera. But the fear of what people might think of me was completely overcome by the uncontrollable laughter that burst forth from my being at that moment and I gave into it. I stood there laughing. Laughing at myself, laughing at the tree, laughing at the universe's incredible sense of humour. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a very long time and my body thanked me for it. What Joy!

My next experience is very different, but equally blissful. Here it is.

It was a Thursday afternoon, about three o'clock and my partner James and I decided to go out for a late lunch to our special Italian restaurant. Both of us had been working long hours for days and needed a diversion. We were seated at our favorite table in front of the fireplace. The sound of Italian melodies filled the room as our waiter greeted us. We decided to take our time today, order appetizers and just sit and talk. And then something happened, something wonderful.

A fellow entered the restaurant and was seated near us, directly in front of me. There was something about him, something very different but I could not put my finger on just what that was. He ordered a cup of tea and a glass of cognac. At the time I thought this was indeed an unusual combination. And when his libation was delivered to him, I watched him very closely. He held the glass of golden liquid between both hands as if it were a lover and caressed it. He lifted the glass to his nose and inhaled the delicate bouquet. A look of ecstasy covered his face and he smiled sweetly to himself. And then and only then did he sip the cognac. It seemed to be an eternity before he swallowed it. I felt as though I was witnessing a private moment and shouldn't be watching, but I just couldn't take my eyes off of this man. He drank only the one glass, nothing more. One was all he needed.

I watched him dine that day and that is exactly what he was doing, dining, not eating. When the waiter brought him his meal, it was a while before he actually took the first bite. His eyes devoured the beauty of the food and the exquisite presentation. He ate slowly and gently and savored every moment and in between each bite he sang Italian songs, along with the music. He had a beautiful lilting kind of voice that melted into the room and touched your heart. It was an extraordinary sight, to see someone so completely involved in the process of dining, so alive in that present moment to the experience of enjoying food. And as the waiters brought him each course, I noticed they walked away smiling more than I had seen them do before, and their step was lighter, much lighter.

I once read somewhere that if a truly enlightened master enters a room, everyone in that entire space would feel instantly uplifted and not even realize why. That is what happened at that little Italian restaurant on this glorious afternoon. Everyone was uplifted because of that one man and his incredible aliveness to being in the moment.

The man in that restaurant was indeed a master, not the kind wearing long robes and a beard, but a master none the less. He uplifted me and everyone else in that room and filled us with a profound sense of joy and love for life.

And it was an enlightening moment for me as well. Until then I knew on some level that if you wanted to experience something in your life you had to be that something, you actually had to become women's coats online it. You could read all about it and dream about it and think about it but in order to experience it in your reality, you had to truly BECOME it.

That man had become JOY! He was walking JOY! And he reminded me in some way of Mother Teresa. She didn't talk about love, she didn't start a love foundation, she didn't lecture people about how to love. She just was love. She lived and breathed love every moment of her extraordinary life and she left a legacy of love for all of us to follow.

I couldn't believe that I had learned so much just by going out to lunch.

And when we were getting ready to leave the restaurant that afternoon, I couldn't help but feel a little sad. I didn't want the experience to be over. And then I remembered it would never be over. The universe is a wise and compassionate place and there would be more experiences for me to savor waiting just around the corner. As long as I was open and willing to let them in, I knew they would be there.

Miracles are everywhere if we only have eyes to see. JOY is our birthright! And then I remembered, not to worry, after all, I've always got my JOY IN A BOTTLE with me!

The Presa Canario Dog Breed And Some Interesting Info About Breeding

The interest in Perro de Presa Canario was revived in the beginning of the 70s, when the group of Spanish dog-scientists, which was working on the revivement of ancient national breeds, collected several remaining thoroughbred species of Canary dog on isolated farms, which became the beginning of all modern species.

In this beginning a great role was played by cross-breeding blood of different types of Presa of the first decade of the 20 th century, which were left on the Islands and other representatives of the Moloss group. This began a slow but continuous recovery of the breed. It was especially difficult to strengthen genetic traits, i.e. to give stability and typicality to the breed.

With the aim of uniting forces to revive the Canary dog, the group of the breed-fanciers on Tenerife, which is by the way responsible for the major part of the currently existing population of Perro de Presa in Spain, in 1982 founded the Club Espanol del Presa Canario. Due to their purposeful work, in ten years the number of the breed increased so much that nowadays the dogs show up on the exhibition circuit regularly and gain popularity in other countries, first of all in the USA, where its appearance an fashion coats online d spread is due to Karl Semenchik.

This long work culminated with the approval of the Official Standart of the Presa Canario on January 24, 1986. And since 1993 registrations of the breed have extended within the Canary Archipelago to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Without any doubt this popularity was promoted by traditional annual national specialised shows, which are aimed at the analysis of morphological and temperamental aspects of the present generation for further improvement of its breed signs.

Official recognition of Perro de Presa influenced its further breeding: if until that moment the numerous breeders reproduced continuing with their just personal, valuing of the temperament of the animal, the good structure, good head, good front, good bone etc., now the standard became the guiding principle. Nevertheless, Presa Canario remaind polytypic, which was explained by non-co-ordination of its use.

For example, there is an amount of tension between specialists from Canary Islands and Tenerife, where was concentrated the most important nuclei of the population. Canary Islands insisted on using the best species, which could be successfully used in dog-fighting: in the selection powerful, brave, aggressive, persistent and large size animals dominate. It mettered to them less the phenotype and they looked for the strong character of the animal mainly. In order to strengthen these qualities, for some time it was considered possible to cross Canary dog with distant and foreign breeds, for example: English and Neapolitan Mastino, in smaller part Great Dane and others.

The most important defects were coats where there was an excess of white, oval eyes, with conjunctivas open to the air, excesses in the sizes and flat ribs. As for Tenerife, local scientists are more concerned about recovering the biotype of the breed, which had began in the prior decade and gaining the antique outlook of Canary dog. Their work ruled by a model that was formalized through historical photos, oral history of all time breeders and the population of the most representative examples of the time.

Attention was paid to head structure, coat (where the special brindle color named "Verdino" was preferable), good movements. The typical or racial expression should dictate above everything. They wanted to be Presa Canario a medium animal, been accustomed to right propotions, rectangular, with balanced character.

However, crossing with foreign breeds, like Bulldogs, Bullmastiffs, Staffordshire bull terriers, Dogue de Bordeaux and others also took place. Nowadays the Perro de Presa Canario, as a result of all the crosses we have talked about, lacks of a precise phenotype. This is not a big problem because it could be solved by the passing of time with working in the right way.

All Presa breeders should be very responsible breeding their dogs. Selecting the crossings must be accomplished carefully in order to obtain a dog with the precise phenotype and balanced but very pronounced character with the natural working qualities of excellents guardians, man-stoppers and attack-dogs. Of course, should not breed Presa with lack of temperament or health problems like HIP and should test their dogs before using them in their breeding-programs.It is very important to remember that Presa Canario is a dog, which is more suitable for experienced trainers than for exhibition shows and prestige lovers.

?

Most females love to decorate their nails with nail polish in attempts to beautify their hands. What most females do not know is that there are actually benefits of using nail polish.? Nail polish, along with other cosmetics, can make a woman feel beautiful and confident inside and out.?

While a manicure and pedicure are not a full body massage, they can be incredibly relaxing.? Many good nail salons will offer a range of services including the very basic manicure and pedicures or a more expensive treatment including hand and foot massages, warm cloths, and aromatherapy.? A simple hand and foot massage can perform wonders if you are having an extremely stressful day.

The Elements of Using Nail Polish – Cuticle Oil

Painting your nails can make them look enticingly beautiful.? However, the elements involved are also beneficial to your hands and nails. Fungus and bacteria can cause infection so severe that your nails could even fall off.

The Nail Massage

Part of any good manicure is the nail massage.? This actually goes hand in hand with the use of cuticle oil, as it is often applied directly to the cuticles and nails. ?At most salons, instead of just allowing it to soak in, it is often gently massaged in for the full benefits.? This nail massage is not only great for distributing the moisture of the cuticle oil, but also stimulates nail growth.

Any massage increases the blood flow to that particular region of the body, and the same is true for a hand and nail massage.? Increased blood flow to the region allows toxins to be removed as well as the conditioning effects of the blood.? Try it by giving yourself nail massages once a week, or even once a day, and you will see an increase in the strength and length of your nails.

Other Benefits of Nail Polish

Remember, while looks are not everything, the way you look is often part of any first impression that you give.? Many people notice your face and hands first.? Unkempt nails may allow people to think the rest of your life is just as messy.

There are other reasons to wear nail polish as well.? If you have flawed or unattractive fingernails or toenails, nail polish can help disguise that.? Obviously, you will always want to keep your nails clean for hygienic reasons, but nail polish can cover up unsightly flaws.? Perhaps you have a calcium deficiency that causes your nails to be specked with white. A quick coat of nail polish can cover that up instantly.?

Many nail polishes produced today, as well as some nail polish removers, are packed with vitamins and conditioners. The days when nail polish was thought to be "poison" for you are gone when people all over realized that it can actually help your hands in more ways than just aesthetically.? Beautifully kept nails can be a real confidence booster and a great way to feel good!

Burmilla Cat and Kitten Information

The Burmilla cat sports a muscular build and is medium in size, weighing between 8 and 10 pounds. The coat is silky to the touch and can be short to medium in length. With a plumed tail, fluffy ruff and grinning face, the Burmilla is a beautiful cat that is known for its good natured playfulness. They enjoy the company and will actively seek out the attention favored humans.

Their natural curiosity can lead to some mischievous behavior. Recognized colors include brown, black, blue, red and a range of tortie blends, shades and points. Grooming is usually limited to claw clips and the occasional brushing which the Burmilla tends to enjoy.

Brief History of the Burmilla Cat

The Burmilla comes from the United Kingdom. The consensus seems to be that the Burmilla came about by chance instead of formal breeding program. Reports have it that the unintentional mating of a Burmese cat and a Chinchilla cat produced the first litter of Burmilla kittens in 1981. They gained championship status in the United Kingdom in 1984. The International Burmilla Breeder Association provides information for this cat from around the world.

The ancestor of all domestic cats is the African Wildcat, the genus Felis Lybica. This genus is comprised of smaller cats. Cats are thought to have been domesticated with the advent of farming and the storage of grain. The grain attracted rats and other vermin which naturally attracted wild cats. As time evolved, certain of these cats were domesticated for the mutual benefit of both cat and man. The African Wildcat has certain features which is obvious in the housecat of today.

Feline Health Considerations

Cats who reside in the house should generally visit the veterinarian yearly, unless health problems are evident. Cats who enjoy the outdoors may need to see the vet as many as four times a year. When you take your cat to the vet, be sure to bring along a fresh stool sample so the vet can do a fecal exam to check for internal parasites such as tapeworm, round worm, whip worms and hook worms. The vet will also check for external parasites such as fleas, ticks and ear mites. Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus pose serious health dangers to cats and vaccinations against these diseases should be given as soon as recommended by your veterinarian.

Any vet check should include a complete dental examination and a cleaning if necessary. Cats who are eight years of age or older are considered geriatric and additional blood and urine tests may be necessary to screen for any health problems. At about six months of age, the kitten should also be examined for sexual maturity and decisions about birth control should be made.

Burmilla Kittens

Kittens are generally available and the price depends upon bloodlines color and markings. Unlike puppies, kittens should not be separated from their mother until twelve to sixteen weeks of age. Some very important developmental stages occur during this period including emotional, mental and health. Curtailing this development may lead to any number of medical and behavioral problems.

Kittens that are separated from their mother at too young an age often fail to gain weight fast enough, have immune system problems because they have not had enough mothers milk. The may also develop eating and eliminating problems, and can have problems socializing with other cats and with people. Kittens, regardless of the breed, have much to learn the mother so early separation should be avoided.

Every cat and kitt women's coats en is an individual so not everything in this information may be correct for your cat or kitten. This information is meant as a good faith guideline only.

Storing A Classic Vehicle For The Winter With Auto Lifts

Every car enthusiast and collector will benefit from owning auto lifts, especially when it comes to storing your classic vehicle for the winter so it's out of the elements and away from danger. You may perform some auto lift repair and maintenance, but there are also a few things you should do to ensure storing your vehicle correctly, especially if you don't have a lift. The following procedures for long-term storage will help to eliminate worry so your first ride in the spring after winter storage is awesome.

Where To Store Your Vehicle

The best place is a heated garage because it prevents the extreme cold from taking a toll on your vehicle. However, most people don't have the luxury of a heated garage, so the next best option is purchasing a car cover that fits snugly around the body of the vehicle, keeping it safe and warm. Auto lifts work great for ensuring a stored vehicle is out of the way of danger. The first step is automotive lift repair and maintenance to make sure the lift is in perfect form before loading the vehicle. Make sure the vehicle lifts you use are rated for long-term storage and that you have a car cover of the appropriate size to go over the vehicle once on the lift. Before performing automotive lift repair and storing your vehicle, there are a few additional steps to take.

The Fluids In Your Vehicle

Check the fluids in your vehicle before storing it on auto lifts, in a garage, or outside. Most people believe you should empty the gas tank, and other fluids, as much as possible women's jackets before storing vehicles, but this isn't true. You should always make sure the gas tank is full because it prevents water and condensation buildup. It also prevents rust and corrosion from getting in the fuel lines. Additionally, experts recommend adding a fuel stabilizer when storing a vehicle for a longer period.

Next, check the antifreeze before storing. Make sure you use antifreeze appropriate for the coldest temperatures and fill to the top. Drain the windshield washer fluid and rinse out any excess if possible. Replace it fully with a winter formula windshield washer fluid rated temperature safe for your area. If you neglect emptying and refilling the windshield washer fluid to the top, you run the risk of having your fine hoses burst when freezing in cold weather.

Protecting The Outside Of Your Vehicle

It is extremely important to also protect the outside of your vehicle, regardless of whether you store your vehicle in a heated garage, outdoors, or on auto lifts. Wash and clean the outside of your vehicle thoroughly before storing it so it is ready to go when winter is over. This also protects the finish from any existing bug guts, bird droppings, or other substances that may degrade the paint. Dry it thoroughly and add a coat of protective wax so your car is not only safe and protected, but also looks great when stored on auto lifts, in a garage, or outdoors.

When stored outside in the elements and weather conditions, moisture and condensation can collect on vehicles. When combined with dirt, this can quickly lead to body damage and the formation of rust. Before covering your vehicle, make sure there are no harsh materials touching it, such as rope or the rough edge of a cover. As the cover blows in the wind, harsh materials will rub against the vehicle, ruining the paint. This is not usually an issue when stored in a garage on auto lifts. Lastly, make sure to provide ventilation to your vehicle to discourage mold and moisture.

The best way to store a vehicle successfully is with auto lifts in a heated garage after doing a little automotive lift repair and maintenance. Since this is not possible for everyone who owns a classic vehicle, taking the steps provided in this article will also ensure a safe and worry free winter storage.

Green Secrets to Selling your Home Fast

Are you preparing your home for sale and wondering what you can do to make it more appealing in a slow real estate market? Did you consider trying to make your home more green and eco friendly? Green homes are becoming increasingly popular. Not only do buyers want to do something good for the environment, but rising energy costs have all of us thinking more about energy efficiency.

Here are the top secrets for "green home" changes that will make your house more appealing to green consumers:

Upgrade your Appliances to Energy Star: Consider a few well-placed Energy Star rated appliances such as the dishwasher, washer and dryer, and range. They don't have to be the most expensive models, just more energy efficient. Offering a home with green appliances is an added bonus to prospective buyers who might be struggling to come up with a down payment and who otherwise might be unable to afford purchasing home appliances on their own.

Upgrade Older Windows: One of the first things a buyer will notice is the exterior of the home. Outdated and inefficient aluminum windows are a quick turn-off to prospective buyers. Offering a home that has a set of brand new windows is one sure way to convince prospective buyers that the house has been updated and taken care of. While this is one of the more expensive upgrades you might make, it could make the difference in a competitive market to make your house sell more quickly.

Replace Outdated Fixtures with Energy Efficient Models: This includes plumbing fixtures as well as light fixtures. Use low-flow shower fashion jackets heads, tankless water heaters, and energy efficient light fixtures with compact fluorescent bulbs.

Update Tired Carpet and Outdated Flooring: Just like the exterior and the walls, the floors will get a ton of attention from prospective home buyers. So be sure to replace any outdated or dingy flooring with modern sustainable materials such as cork, reclaimed wood, or bamboo.

Take Care of Easy Fixes: One of the best ways to make a home more energy efficient is to install an adjustable thermostat to control the temperature, plus this is an easy thing to take care of and install.

Paint the Walls - Use a green eco-friendly paint (such as no-VOC) in neutral tones! Every Realtor knows that a fresh coat of paint can make the difference between a house sitting around on the market forever, and a quick sale. And by using eco-friendly "green" paints instead of those with harmful vapors, you can advertise the safety and health of the home as well. Don't use glaring or bright colors--not everyone has the same sense of style that you do. Houses with white or neutral paint colors are shown to sell faster.

Green Advertising - Try to find an educated Eco Realtor to list your house for sale. They will understand the importance of marketing. Be sure to heavily advertise all of the green features in the sales copy, fliers, and all marketing materials published about the home.

These helpful tips should help you to make your house stand out to green consumers, and can make the difference in selling your home more quickly, especially in competitive or slow real estate markets.

Selecting The Right Golf And Golfing Equipment - Ladies' Vs Men's Golf Clubs

It is most important to select the correct golf equipment. Golf is a hard enough endeavor without making it a more difficult sport and challenge with poorly chosen and inappropriate equipment. Ladies golf clubs are different than the golf clubs used and chosen by male golfers.

Often just to start out and "try" the game of golf and golfing a prospective women golfer will start out with her husband's or boyfriend's old or "favorite" "clubs".

While it may be advisable to find out if you like the game before spending a veritable fortune on equipment, in almost all cases men's golf clubs and golf equipment will prove to be unsuitable , and indeed a most trying event, for the vast majority of women to start out their golf careers with .

What advice can be given – start slow and small to begin with, go out and purchase or perhaps if possible borrow a ladies 6 or 7 iron or irons. These can be new, used or as said – perhaps even borrowed for the moment. Once you have conducted your test case and evaluations and know better if you are going to take the game seriously, if at all, then you can make the choice of whether to add to the single club, if you purchased it, look for a decent set or half set or perhaps even have figured out that this whole golf thing is not for you – well at least for the moment.

There are three main reasons why it is a much better idea to have specific ladies clubs rather than run of the mill standard golf sets. The reasons have to do with swing weight, shaft flex and grip sizes.

Firstly swing weight is the method of referring to how heavy the golf club feels when it is swung. In terms of club weights tables' ladies golf club weights range from about C0-C8. If you try out men's golf clubs for fun, you will more than likely find them too heavy to control, it can be said that the essence of the golf swing is to control the clubhead. If you swing too heavy a golf club it will control you rather than the other way around. If on the other hand if you are stronger than the average women due to your size of have played such sports as squash or tennis men's clubs may be just fine for you. But even if you fall in this category of strength and physique you may well be better to start off with a women's set of golf clubs and then perhaps progress to a regular ma women's jackets n's set of golf clubs.

Next to consider is the actual shaft on lady's golf clubs. These shafts on the whole are made and chosen to be more flexible which helps to promote clubhead speed and thus ultimately to improve the actual distance that the golf ball will travel and cover. Until you can generate so much power that the slightly longer and firmer shaft of a man's golf club will give you additional control without sacrificing distance, then it is always advisable to use ladies "L" shafts. Remarkably some older and less athletic men actually derive greater benefit on the golf courses by using ladies golf clubs with the more flexible shafts , as a means of increasing their golf game and decreasing their golf scores. This is a result of the whippy shaft and lighter weight that enables them to control their golf clubs and thus gain extra distance on the links without much additional effort or expertise whatsoever.

As a last point regarding the distinction between the two sets of clubs is the grips on the clubs. The grips on ladies golf clubs are much smaller than those on men's clubs. This makes lady's clubs much easier to hold. In the case of women who find that they either have fairly large hands and/or long fingers larger grips may be more advantageous.
In these cases fingers may find that large grips help them to grip the club correctly.

Golf and the sport of golfing are hard enough sports without handicapping yourself with what may be considering not the most optimal and tailored golf hardware for yourself and your golfing preferences. Why make life and your golf game burdensome and not the easiest and best for an enjoyable game, pastime and lowest possible scores for that round or rounds of golf at your favorite golf courses?

Shih Tzu Topknots, Eyes And Ear Care

The standard coat of a Shih Tzu should be luxuriously long and dense with a good wooly undercoat. The hair on top of the head may be tied up. When a Shih Tzu is completely brushed and combed the Shih Tzu should have a sleek look. The beard comes to a point and a long, luxuriant moustache flows over the beard.

Method of making a Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu puppy topknot:
1.Part the hair from the ear on both sides of the head.
2.Gather up in one hand the hair in the middle and slip on a latex band at the base.
3.The band may have to be wrapped around twice to m women's coats ake it secure.
4.A ribbon or barrette is recommended to be attached to latex band.

How to make your own Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu puppy bows:

1. Cut one yard of ribbon. The ribbon can be any width you desire.

2. From this yard of ribbon, cut another piece about 5" long. Splice this in half lengthwise.

3. Cut the remainder of the yard in half. This material should give you enough for two ribbons or bows.

4. Wrap one of the long pieces around two fingers. Slip the folded ribbon off your fingers and double it over.

5. With a utility scissors, snip off a piece at the corners in a "V" shape, but not a sharp V, for you will lose any thread of support. There should be a piece of ribbon left at the centerfold to hold it all together.

6. Take one of the spliced pieces (5") and tie the ribbon at the centerfold securely.

7. Separate each fold by gently pulling out and twisting each fold out from the center. Do both sides. When all the folds are pulled out and twisted, the bow is completed. All that remains is to fasten the bow to a tuft of hair, using the ends of the center splice to tie the knot. Cut off any excess ribbon that remains.

Care of the Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu puppy's ears:

Because of the long hair covering the Shih Tzu puppy's ears, problems can develop when the ear gets little air. Clean the excess hair out of your Shih Tzu puppy's ear canal (not the ear flap) to improve air circulation and help prevent infection.

Care of the Shih Tzu's eyes:

Shih Tzu generally has large eyes with shallow sockets. A Shih Tzu's eyes are more prone to injury than most other breeds. If your Shih Tzu puppy's eyes are red or cloudy or tear excessively, or if your dog squints and rubs at his eye, have a vet look at your Shih Tzu puppy's eye to determine the cause.

Professionalism in Shih Tzu grooming:

The word professional means "one skilled in a profession, craft, or art. The word professionalism is defined as "the methods, manner, or spirit of a profession.

To become professional at anything, one must have the skills appropriate to the art, craft or profession and must conduct themselves professionally.

Understanding Women

If you have been trying to understand women for years, join the group! Most of the dating tips for men express what not to do, what to do and how to stay out of the doghouse, but very few actually focus on understanding women. That is because there are very few people that actually understand women, and of those people no one is fessing off the secrets.

It is not difficult to understand women, but for so many years others have put such an emphasis on the inability to understand that most men have simply given up. Women are complicated and it takes a while to learn the specifics of any woman, but it can be done. One of the ke women's jackets ys is continuing on, following guidelines and setting it all in action.

Tip 1

Despite the past 50 years and womens fight to be independent they still like to be treated like a lady. Because someone wants to be treated equally does not mean that they give up being feminine or wanting a man to take care of them emotionally. There is a huge difference between giving someone equality and taking care of them emotionally. Most men fail miserably in this category and it is all because they simply do not understand it. Many men make the mistake of saying if she wants independence and equality then let her open her own door. This is the wrong way to think and gets many in trouble. Now there are women out there in the world that are offended by a man opening a door or showing other signs of gentlemen like behavior. Dont worry about these women because they have issues far further than the opening of a door. Concentrate on being a gentleman, treating a lady with respect and understanding that equality does not equal a lack of gentlemen like behavior.

Tip 2

Most men get very frustrated because women sometimes blow things out of proportion. This is how the man sees it, but women see it very differently. This is because men and women think very differently, let me try to explain. Men think more logically and are not as concerned with personal statements or emotional information in normal conversation. On the other hand women are more emotional and evaluate statements based on personal information.

When a man makes a comment the woman is likely to believe that he is speaking about her just without the backbone to say her name. This is one of the leading flaws of women and many of them have trouble overcoming this feat. Men need to be careful with what they say and how it could sound based on this information. If you know that talking about the fat lady at the next table will likely leave her wondering whether or not you think she is fat, avoid the comment. Now many men would complain that this is like walking on eggshells. The question then becomes do you want to monitor what to say, or be alone? Your choice!!

Tip 3

Women want a good guy with a bad boy a image. On the whole they do not want someone that is ugly to them, abusive or not a gentleman. Just because a woman wants someone that is not a pushover does not mean that he necessarily has to be a bad boy or criminal. When women go for this type of man they are looking for someone that will stand up, make decisions and not let others run over them. You can do all of this and more without being a true bad boy. They key is to stand up for yourself, demand respect and not let others push you over. It is fine to be nice, but do not fall in to the nice guy trap. Certain studies have shown that women do not want this no matter what they say. They are simply not attracted to someone that can not hold their own emotionally.

Keep these three tips in mind and you should experience a reletively pain free relationship.

Women's Health: What Every Woman Needs To Know

Womens Health: Breast Cancer Prevention And Treatments

This article addresses some of the key issues regarding womens health. A careful reading of this material could make a big difference in how you think about this important subject.

Women should routinely visit a Gynecologist or Obstetrician for pelvic scans or for taking a Pap smear. This is especially true if they are 21 years of age or older. The medical community world wide on the issue of womens health has made more women aware of the rise of cancer as a grave illness that may lead to death and is second only to heart disease in leading causes of death among women.

Important Facts To Consider

Womens health is directly affected by cancer which is believed to have been diagnosed in excess of a million people in the United States, though it is a widely known fact that the development of cancer can be significantly reduced by practicing a healthier lifestyle, maintaining good nutrition and limiting sun exposure. In addition, cancer screening, a basic understanding of cancer prevention as well as cancer prevention programs would all help to drastically improve womens health.

It is believed that women who are 65 years of age or older contribute to half of the new breast cancer cases every year and the number for older women having breast cancer is expected to double by the year 2030 as the baby boomers age. Younger women diagnosed with breast cancer often receive better care than their older counterparts, even though women want their doctors to look at the condition not their ages.

I trust that what you've read so far has been informative. The following section should go a long way toward clearing up any uncertainty that may remain.

Internationally, breast cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer impacting womens health and is thought to have affected one out of every 11-12 women at some point of their lives in the Western hemisphere, and although important efforts are being made to achieve early detection and provide sufficient treatment, purportedly about 20% of all women diagnosed with breast cancer would die as a result of this disease.

Some common methods of detecting breast cancer is to have screening performed which includes breast self-examination and mammography though only the latter has been proven to reduce mortality from breast cancer. Because of the risk that breast cancer poses to womens health, modern technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are needed to detect cancers that are not visible through mammography methods.

In addition to cancer, another cause of worry seriously affecting womens health is diabetes, and to fight this disease the National Public Health Initiative on Diabetes and Womens health have produced a television video on diabetes and womens health and this video brings to light the realities facing women which gives hope and encouragement to women as well as their love ones in living with diabetes.

As your knowledge about womens health continues to grow, you will begin to see how a proper understanding of womens hea women's coats lth is critical in the fight against cancer and other leading diseases affecting women world wide.
