About Mommylicious Maternity

Once upon a time, in a little town called Woodland Hills, California, Natalia Benshaw was pregnant with her second child. It was both an exciting and hectic time since she had so much to do before baby Presley made her grand arrival. One thing Natalia already knew from her first pregnancy with baby Adriana was how her body would be changing. Only this time, she was determined that her sense of style wasn't going to change as much as the first time. Natalia went to all the usual suspects in the mall. She checked out boutiques and wandered to the high-end places, where she then too discovered something that several of her friends were already complaining about: cute pregnancy clothes are limited, not very attractive and expensive. Hence, Natalia partnered with her husband, Brook Fain, who gathered a team of key players and helped put together the website. The couple then teamed up with a young and talented fashion designer, Marie-Eve Freda. Hence, a third baby was born: MommyLicious Maternity, a small California-based business going against the big dogs with a mission, with all clothes produced locally in the United States.

Christine Agro, Founder of The Conscious Mom's Guide? (TCMG) announced today that Juliane Camposano is the first to be featured in TCMG's Inspiring Women feature. The feature, in question and answer form, retains Agro's chatty, homey interview style, but condenses the interview into ten or less questions.

"Juliane is very inspiring to me" Agro said, when asked how she chose Camposano as the first Inspiring Woman, "I am so impressed with Juliane's commitment to the environment, her passion to manifest a dream, her humor and her love of her family."

Copycat Fashions Launches a Purrrrfect Solution for Women Who Want Designer Custom Fashions at an Affordable Price

New York's Fashion week is here again and Copycat Fashions is pleased to announce the launch of their premier site offering women the ability to upload images of garments they want to have made or remade at a cost that will not break the purse!

Copycat Fashions grew out of the need to offer women American made, high end garments at lower prices. According to the Head Designer and Co-Owner, Denise Lasprogata, "After the recession hit, women were coming to my studio off of Park Avenue asking me to make them multiples of old designer pieces they owned or would even bring me tear sheets from high end retailers' catalogs asking if I could make something similar at a fraction of the cost. Word of mouth spread as I never advertised this service and month after month more women came knocking on my door armed with clothing to remake in various colors and with changes to the design. While these women were relatively well off "Park Avenue Ladies", they were not willing to spend what they used to. It appeared as though the consumer finally caught on that yes, the retail mark-up was breaking their purses and they were smart enough to seek out another means to get similar clothing items for less."

After several years of not only designing her own collection, but also developing a thriving business of redesigning and making clothing for women from tear sheets, magazine clippings and also original clothing women wished to have remade, Lasprogata linked up with her partner, Chad Phillips to extend this service online. The designer claims, "It is a financially sound solution for women who know what they want as most of my women do, but also do not want to spend an arm and a leg ge Tips: Find Street Fashion Online(may be you can find what you want on the oasap.com) tting it. Now women can request the color they want, select fabrics and make style changes as well. For example, I have had women tell me they want to remake a sleeveless blouse into one with sleeves to hide their upper arm or that red is a much better color on them so they want to change the garment color. After all, the fashion minded woman has her own eye and it is important to adhere to the customer's wishes."

So exactly how does Copycat Fashions work? To begin, the site has a few options and is easy to navigate. Consumers simply upload images of garments they want made. These can be images of garments from runway shows, magazines, catalogs, or for instance even a look they saw on the streets of Milan or Paris. After Copycat Fashions receives the images, the team reviews the cut and fabric option and sends back a quote for production. If the consumer agrees to the price, then the team goes to work. On average, they offer 30-50% off original garment prices. A second option is to submit pictures of a garment that one wishes to have remade. It could be that perfect dress that has been "worn out" too much or a pant with a perfect fit. Again, the team sends a quote for the item and if accepted by the consumer, they are asked to mail the original to the Copycat office on Madison Avenue. Finally, Copycat Fashions has an online design studio where women can customize their own garment. Each month Copycats Designer creates a new look for women to "play with" allowing them to add sleeves and collars as well as select shape and fabrics.

The Copycat Fashions team prides themselves on the fact that all production is done right here in New York City. While both owners are originally from Philadelphia and have both studied and worked in Rome, Italy, it is here in New York that they operate Copycat Fashions making American made fashions for the American woman!

Zappos Announces Espadrilles for the Whole Family

Zappos.com, the online leader in apparel and footwear, announces espadrilles as a hot summer trend. Zappos.com has espadrilles for men, women and kids in a wide variety of colors and fabrics to coordinate with any summertime outfit.

Identified by the rope braid around the sole of the shoe, the flat espadrille hasn't changed much for in the hundreds of years since it originated as a traditional Catal fashion coats an peasant shoe. The rope sole is now typically jute, rather than the native Mediterranean esparto grass for which the shoes were named.

Men may coordinate a pair of more traditional loafers in canvas or leather with any summer outfit. These simple slip-on shoes can stand in for flip-flops and work well with cargo shorts, chinos or jeans.

Given the easy-on, easy-off nature of slip-on espadrilles, they make great shoes for kids. They provide more foot protection than flip-flops and the same summery simplicity, without the hassle of lace-up athletic shoes.

For women, espadrille-style shoes are available as comfortable flats, mid-height sandals, platform sandals and soaring wedge heels. The casual, unassuming look of an espadrille wedge makes a towering heel totally daytime appropriate. While a tall espadrille that straps or ties at the ankle ups the hotness factor for summer evening events, the wedge heel stays more seasonally appropriate and comfortable than a stiletto heel.

How to Keep Kids out of the Emergency Room This Fall Safety Tips from Topical BioMedics

Kids are back in school, women's jackets with a busy schedule that includes extra-curricular sports, playground fun, and other activities. With kids spending lots of time outdoors, participating in leagues, and toting around heavy backpacks all day, strains, sprains, muscle pulls, and other mishaps are sure to follow. In fact, emergency rooms in the U.S. treat more than 9 million children each year for accidental injuries.

While injuries are a part of growing up, parents aren't always sure which treatment options are safe and effective for their children, especially given the side effects of many oral pain relievers and the allergic reactions many kids have to smelly, greasy topical ointments.

The potential of overdosing a child using oral pain medication can cause dire consequences—including irreparable damage to the kidneys and liver. The massive number of ongoing recalls of pediatric over-the-counter (OTC) medicines this year is further cause for alarm—especially those containing the active ingredients acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Topical OTC analgesic ointments are also cause for concern, containing volatile oils such as camphor, menthol, and other irritating and potentially hazardous chemicals.

Lou Paradise, president and chief of research of Topical BioMedics, urges parents to consider the following safety tips to help protect their children from pain and injury and keep them out of the emergency room.

--Children should have a physical exam before participating in sports and always wear the proper protective equipment. Be sure your child stretches and warms up muscles prior to activity to help prevent injuries.

--Make sure backpacks fit properly and have padded backs and straps. Children should wear BOTH straps and only carry what is necessary to avoid any excess weight. A backpack should weigh no more than 5% - 10% of the child's body weight, and never hang more than 4" below the waistline.

--Clothing and shoes should fit properly. Loose clothes can catch in playground equipment, and properly fitted footwear minimizes the risk of falling or tripping.

--Small children should be supervised at the playground or while playing outside at home.

--Bullying is becoming epidemic. An adult should accompany younger children to the bus stop to avoid episodes of roughhousing.

Even with precautions, kids have accidents, and there are times when pain and injuries are unavoidable. Moreover, 25-40% of children aged 3-5 and 8-12 experience growing pains.

"Parents need to be armed with a safe, effective, and natural pain product made just for children, which is why I developed Topricin Junior Pain Relief and Healing Cream," says Paradise. "Formulated with 13 natural biomedicines, Topricin Junior supports and assists the body in the healing process to help reduce inflammation, detoxify and stimulate blood flow that increases oxygenation of the skin to speed healing and relieve aches and pains. I've used Topricin on my own children, and they now use it on my grandchildren."

Topricin Junior has no side effects, no odor, no parabens, no petroleum, and no harsh chemicals. Some of its key actives include arnica for injuries and bruising to the muscles and joints, echinacea to help reduce inflammation and graphite for most skin conditions. "In fact, Topricin Junior has been effective in treating eczema and other skin issues," says Paradise.

Winner of the Parent Tested/Parent Approved (PTPA?) Seal of Approval, and designated a Trusted Partner with Healthy Child Healthy World in its continued effort to empower parents in creating healthier, safer environments for children, Topricin Junior is a safe, natural alternative to over-the-counter chemical-based pain pills which can have dangerous side effects.

Topricin Junior comes in a convenient, portable tube for keeping on hand at sporting events and playgrounds, as well as in the car glove compartment and bathroom medicine cabinet. Also available is the Topricin Junior "Boo Boos Happen" first aid kit, with "Ouchies" boutique design-your-own colored adhesive bandages and marker in a recyclable zippered bag. Five percent of the sales of Topricin Junior are donated to pediatric cancer care. For more information, visit http://www.topricinkids.com.

Recording Industry’s Down Turn Inspires Beloved Beauty Cosmetics Line For Artist

With music sales taking a down turn, in part due to the economy and the prevalence of free music sites, recording artists are having to find new avenues for revenue. Artists have been driven to tour more frequently and longer in order to stay afloat during this rough bump in the road the music industry is experiencing. Some of today's biggest stars have found success in launching clothing lines, jewelry and fragrances. These artist can not only be found in the pop arena but the trend is also popular with country artists like Faith Hill, Taylor Swift and Shania Twain. Independent recording artist Beloved have taken this even a step further with their own make-up line. While the subject is somewhat slightly still taboo in the faith based market which puts so much importance on inner beauty, the group's Beloved Beauty has been embraced with open arms. CEO and co-founder of Beloved Beauty, Kim Gravel explains, "The church encourages people to focus so much on inner beauty, which is great, but it doesn't mean you have to ignore and neglect the outside. Women get a great feeling from looking beautiful and that helps with their inner beauty. We meet so many ladies at our conferences and performances that lack that confidence and pride that comes with feeling beautiful."

Through this new venture, the group is introducing themselves to a new audience who might not hear the music first but actually wear the make-up and then try out the music. During this uncertain time in the music industry, groups like Beloved are stepping outside the box while hopefully making people feel as good as if they were listening to one of their songs.

Beloved Beauty cosmetics are the first to reach out deliberately to the faith-based market. Instead of a typical mall or store setting, the cosmetics are brought directly to women's conferences and churches around the country. Beauty tips and secrets are doled out to an eager crowd that might otherwise feel uncomfortable being worked on by the mall's latest glamazons. At these events each woman is given individual attention and a private consultation, if desired. The Beloved Beauty conferences have been so wildly successful, many operating at sold-out capacity, not only because of the great products but also for the uplifting message conveyed that everyone is beautiful, inside and out. The "Beloved Beauty Effect" encourages each woman to embrace who you are and do the best with what you've got. This transparent and authentic approach to beauty has women coming back time and time again for much more than a tube of lipstick. Fitness Apparel and Casual Athletic Wear: Why Shop Pure Style Fitness this Holiday Season

Pure Style Fitness has everything to outfit the athlete this holiday season with fitness apparel and causal athletic wear.

Why is having the proper fitness apparel so important? One, fitness apparel is made with fabrics and materials that stretch, breathe, support and move with the body as you work out. It's important not to wear clothes that constrain body movement or don't provide the proper breathability while working out. Fabrics that do not breathe trap sweat, causing exercisers to over-heat and tire quicker. Wearing a product like the Serve it Up V-neck T-Shirt that has mesh on both the shoulders and back or the Lotus Tank with a mesh inset along the neckline provide ventilation and breathability. In addition to mesh, spandex is used in fitness apparel because it stretches easily and helps keep the shape of the clothing piece. Looking for one or both of these fabrics, when shopping for fitness apparel, will ensure the end user maximum comfort and functionality.

Secondly, when exercisers feel good about themselves, working out becomes easier and self-motivating. Having stylish and supportive fitness apparel brings self-assurance and can make a person more confident about hitting gym. For women, having the proper chest support is a big issue. When women don't feel secure in their workout tops, they may be embarrassed about working out in a public gym. More than half of Pure Style Fitness' tanks have built-in bras. Wearing a fitness top with a built-in bra eliminates the need to layer a tank with a sports bra. Having the bra built-in provides extra comfort along with support. Many of the Alo Sport tanks, including the Twist Strap Tank, have interior shelf bras. It's important to keep in mind what type of comfort, support and style the person you are shopping for would need.

Pure Style Fitness makes it easy for shoppers to buy for the athletes they love this season with a wide selection of items made with special design features and quality fabrics. Given the holiday spirit, Pure Style Fitness is also offering free standard shipping and a limited time promotional code of "Holidays 20 women's coats 11" that can be used at checkout to receive an additional 10% off consumer purchases.

Make the holidays bright this year with stylish and affordable fitness apparel!

Modesty Matters to God, New Xulon Press Book States

The clothing a person wears and the image they portray speaks volumes. The way a person dresses often causes other people to form an opinion of what kind of person they are. But what kind of a message is the way people dress sending to others? Do people see Christ or the world? Scripture proves that people are important to God and so is how they dress. Within the pages of Daughters of God .........Modesty Matters ($14.99, paperback, 978-1- fashion coats 61379-518-7; $22.99, hardcover, 978-1-61379-519-4; $7.49, eBook, 978-1-61379-592-7), a new Xulon title from Jennifer Peikert, the author teaches women how very important they are to God, how they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and how even the way they dress is important to God.

"I hope readers learn that their value is not in how they look or act but simply because they were created by God Himself," the author says. "Modesty and how we convey ourselves to others matters to God. I believe God wants this truth conveyed to His girls and all of this book is scripturally based and God-inspired."

The author was prompted by God to write this book after learning—through real life experiences—that how women dress can impact their lives. She has witnessed firsthand how so many girls and women today expose their bodies for acceptance and love, and this book is her response to that troubling trend. "God has truly brought me from ashes to beauty," she explains. "I have learned to see myself through His eyes, and I have seen how women dressing immodestly has impacted lives. I live the life of dressing modestly and have learned how important it is to God."

Jenne Rayburn Showcases Vintage Enamel Flowers, Antique Jewelry and Costume Jewelry in a Collection of One-Of-A-Kind Statement Necklaces

Jenne Rayburn jewelry and fashion accessories are designed for the fearlessly fashionable with a vintage taste. Using both found objects and her own line of vintage inspired pieces, Jenne crafts unique bracelets, earrings and necklaces designed around eye catching focal points that are both unpretentious and elegant. Colorful enameled flowers and rhinestone floral spray brooches often take center stage, motivated by a passion for antique and estate jewelry, and a love of gardening, especially the flowering Clematis vines that bloom in her back yard all spring and summer. "Nature is a primary source of inspiration for color, texture and form combinations," says Jenne Rayburn, founder and designer of Jenne Rayburn Handcrafted Jewelry and Fashion Accessories. "Whether I'm driving New England back roads or wandering conservation land near our house, the juxtaposition of colors, textures, shapes, and symbols are endless."

Growing up in the rural farming country of southeastern Washington State, Jenne Rayburn recalls that the thrift store was one of the most interesting places to shop. However, it is not just the thrill of the hunt for unique jewelry and home accessories that Jenne loves; it is the places the hunt takes her, and the wonderful people she meets along the way. While her specialty is vintage accessories, jewelry and vintage cloth, circa 1890-1960, she also loves mid-century furniture and antique lighting. "I am endlessly inspired by the gorgeous materials and craftsmanship found in antique and vintage objects, and in their stories – or the stories I imagine," says Jenne Rayburn. "I've loved antiques since the first time my grandmother recounted the story of her heirloom furniture that was buried in her family's back yard to escape the Chicago fire. For me, wearing vintage jewelry is like traveling back in time."

An avid traveler, Jenne has lived abroad and she travels extensively, continually honing her unique style and intelligent eye, and with impeccable taste replenishing her collection of vintage and limited edition materials. Scouring local and global markets, auctions, and galleries for eye-catching vintage and antique components, Jenne carefully hand-selects pieces with special details or that have an elegant flair. These enchanting finds are then playfully combined with sometimes unexpected colors and textures to create distinctive, timeless designs. One might find a strand of old Venetian glass with an antique bronze pendant or vintage Swarovski crystals with a japanned black lacquer brooch. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted with care in the designer's Malden, MA studio.

Whimsical yet sophisticated combinations of color and texture play a huge role in the unique personality of each piece and in the success of a statement necklace. "Our customers are intrigued by the vintage craftsmanship mixed with the contemporary creativity of the collections," explains Jenne Rayburn. "Our handmade pieces are wonderfully original, combining artistry and imagination with functional details." Also motivated by the desire to create comfortable jewelry women can wear all day, Jenne continually works to create unique jewelry collections that are b fashion jackets old yet versatile and easy to pair with any outfit. Ergonomics and wear-ability is carefully integrated into the unique personality of each piece, resulting in handcrafted jewelry with personality that you can live in.

It's every woman's dream to own beautiful, confidence building jewelry. The right accessories can transform a simple, everyday top or dress into the outfit everyone remembers. While each woman is different, being genuine and original is key to a successful style. Rayburn advises, "Be true to yourself, and try not to be concerned with trends or the opinions of others. Whether you love big, bright, contemporary statement earrings, or your grandmother's favorite necklace, accessorize yourself with what brings you happiness." Jenne believes that every day brings a new opportunity for self-expression. Adornment should be inspiring and a reflection of your individuality. When you feel good about yourself, you approach the world with confidence, which is the ultimate in polish and style.
